Dogz Downtown was created in 2005 to elevate the standard of canine care in Rhode Island. Although our staff comes from various backgrounds― training, veterinary care, alternative remedies and shelter work, we all share a powerful commitment to responsible pet ownership and animal rescue.

Dogz Downtown is a safe and progressive environment for your dog. The expertise of our staff and superior quality of the products we offer are two of our top priorities. Cross-training, advanced education and ongoing product research ensure that you and your dog benefit from the best service and supplies available.

What can my dog do at Dogz Downtown?

Hang out and play!

Dogz Downtown is an up-beat and cage-free alternative to “kennel-style” daycare. Here your dog can socialize inside or out, with dogs in their play-group and our energetic staff. When it’s time for a nap, they can relax in the Dogz Lounge― a protected and comfortable environment. You can also check-in on your dog throughout the day by logging in to our live webcam. Dogz Downtown is conveniently located in Providence, RI (minutes from Interstate-95). Daycare services are available from 7am to 7pm, Monday – Friday.

Learn to “Stay”!

The Dogz Downtown training school uses positive reinforcement, clicker training and current learning theory. Our trainers are professional members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and regularly expand their capabilities through continued education. A “team of trainers” approach allows for maximum collaboration across specialties and a better learning experience for you and your dog. We offer individual and group classes in a full-range of disciplines― from Puppy Kindergarten to T-Touch, Agility, and everything in-between.

Dogz Downtown’s spa services include everything from basic grooming (washing, brushing, nail clipping and ear cleaning) to massage and Reiki techniques that address your dog’s individual needs. Among the many benefits of Reiki and massage are relaxation, enhanced range of motion, improved healing, reduced swelling, improved circulation and pain relief. Dogz Downtown customizes each spa treatment to make sure your dog has a soothing, non-stressful experience. They will come home looking and feeling great. Dogz Downtown uses 100% natural, chemical-free products from Pet Aromatics and Happy Tails Canine Spa Line.
