Dogz Downtown uses positive reinforcement, clicker training, and motivational techniques. We have found patience, understanding, praise and play to be more effective than harsh corrections, negative reinforcement, and forced obedience. Fostering a strong dog/handler relationship and involving the entire family in the training process are key elements for your dog’s success.

Dogz Downtown’s Instructors are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and encouraged to participate in continuing education. Dogz “Team of Trainers” approach takes full advantage of each instructor’s individual expertise and adds the benefits of collaboration. This commitment to ongoing improvement allows our instructors to experience greater professional development and class participants to enjoy a well-rounded learning experience.

Dogz Downtown offers both private and group training classes for a variety of ages, skills, and behavioral issues. Your dog can truly grow with us, learning everything from attention and focus to basic manners, obedience, and agility. As your dog learns new behaviors, you’ll learn ways to communicate with them.
